1. Ofog på turné
Från 12 februari till 6 mars var Ofog på turné genom Sverige. Vi träffade organisationer, nätverk och enskilda för att prata om militariseringen av Sverige – och hur vi kan stoppa den. Med på turnén var den brittiska fredsaktivisten Angie Zelter, som bl.a. fått Right Livelihood Awards “alternativa nobelpris”.
Vid de många samtalen och diskussionerna kom tydliga tecken på Sveriges del i det globala krigsmaskineriet upp, t.ex. den skenande vapenexporten, trupperna i Afghanistan och de militära övningsområdena i Göteborgs skärgård och i Norrbotten. Också mindre synliga tecken på den militaristiska kultur som genomsyrar vårt samhälle och vår vardag togs upp. Det blev allt tydligare för oss att så länge det militaristiska tankesättet tillåts styra, är en fredlig och rättvis värld omöjlig.

2. Stöd War starts here
Hjälp till att finansiera motståndet mot det globala krigsmaskineriet!
Förberedelserna inför det internationella fredsaktionslägret pågår för fullt. Inom Ofog och andra organisationer och grupper lägger många människor sin tid och energi för att realisera lägret.
Även om vi åstadkommer storverk helt genom ideellt arbete och material som vi fått gratis, behöver vi ändå pengar till t.ex. kopiering, verktyg, målarfärg, tryckkostnader, lokaler, transporter osv.

4. Senaste nytt inför lägret
Mobiliseringen inför lägret går framåt. Allt fler meddelar att de kommer, t.ex. antimilitaristiska grupper från Tyskland, Spanien, USA och Storbrittanien, samt organisationen "War Resisters International" som lägger sitt årsmöte i samband med lägret. Klimatnätverket "Klimax" publicerade nyligen en text (länk: http://www.klimax.se/klimat-och-militarism) om hur Klimat och militarism hänger ihop, och meddelade att också de kommer i sommar. Hör gärna av dig om din organisation/grupp kommer!
På hemsidan kan du följa planeringen och utvecklingen av lägret. Där kan du nu också hitta praktiskt information om t.ex. boende, transport och mat under lägerveckan. Har du tankar och idéer kring lägret – hör av dig!

5. Engagera dig
Vill du engagera dig för att realisera årets fredshändelse? I förberedelserna inför lägret behövs allas samlade kunskaper och engagemang.
Kontakta Ofog för att gå med i någon av våra arbetsgrupper. Hör gärna också av dig om du har kunskap, information, resurser, idéer eller annat du vill bidra med, även om du inte vill engagera dig i en arbetsgrupp. Följande arbetsgrupper finns:
Faktagruppen: Samlar och sammanställer faktamaterial om det militära övningsområdet NEAT och andra former av militarisering i Sverige.
PR-gruppen: Arbetar med att sprida ordet om lägret genom hemsida, tidning, affischer, flyers och mycket mer.
Logistikgruppen: Ordnar transporter, bostad, lokaler, mat och annat praktiskt under och inför lägerveckan.
Aktionsgruppen: Planerar och förbereder inför icke-våldsaktioner under fredslägret.
Mobiliseringsgruppen: Håller föreläsningar och diskussioner om hur krig börjar här samt sprider ordet om lägret.
Seminariegruppen: Organiserar det stora seminarium som kommer gå av stapeln de första dagarna av lägret.
Organisationsgruppen: Samordnar arbetet i de olika grupperna, styr upp planeringshelger och har övergripande koll på tidsplan, budget osv.

1. Ofog on tour
From February 12 to March 6, the antimilitaristic network ”Ofog” toured through Sweden. We met with organizations, networks and individuals to talk about the militarization of Sweden - and how we can stop it. With us on tour was the British peace activist Angie Zelter who, amongst many other things, has been awarded Right Livelihood Awards "Alternative Nobel Prize".
The fact that Sweden has an increasingly more active part in the global war machinery became more and more evident in the discussions we had during the tour. Problems such as the rampant export of weapons from Sweden, our troops in Afghanistan and the large military training areas in different parts of Sweden were discussed. Discussed were also less visible signs of the militaristic culture that permeates our society and our everyday life. It became increasingly clear to us that as long as the militaristic mindset is allowed to govern, a peaceful and just world is impossible.

3. Latest news about the camp
Mobilization for the camp is in full process. More and more groups are telling us that they're coming, including antimilitarist groups from Germany, Spain, the US and U.K. The organization "War Resisters International" will hold their annual meeting in connection with the camp. The swedish climate network Klimax just published an article on how militarism and the climate are linked, and also announced that they will join us in Luleå.

4. Get involved
Do you want to get involved to create the peace-event of the year? In the preparations for the international action camp, we need the commitment and collected knowledge of everyone interested.
Contact Ofog to join any of our groups. Please tell us if you have information, resources, ideas or anything else that you would like to contribute, even if you don't want to commit to join a group.
Our groups:
Facts and info: are collecting and putting information together regarding the military test range NEAT, and other forms of militarisation of Sweden.
PR: are spreading the word about the camp through our webpage, a magazine, posters, flyers and lots more.
Logistics: are organizing transports, accomodation, places to hold meetings, food and other practical things that need to work during, before and after the camp.
Action: are planning and preparing the non-violent actions that will happen during the peace-camp.
Mobilization: are giving talks and discussions on how war starts here and spreading the word about the camp.
Seminars: are organizing the big seminar that will open up the camp.
Organization: Coordinates the different groups and has an overall responsibility of what needs to be done.
